Water as Medicine

Do you know that water could be used as medicine to cure many of the diseases that we face in this 21st century? In Japan, for example, it is popular to drink water immediately after one wakes up every morning. Drinking 1.5 litres of fresh water every morning for about two months on an empty stomach helps to cure cough, cold and sinus, and respiratory diseases. It also helps to control blood-pressure, piles, intestines, and angina.

For any acidity related issues, you can mix 1.5 spoon full of “Trikatu”, a mixture of dry ginger, piper longum and black pepper in 1.25 liters of plain water and drink it in the morning.

Cough related diseases could be cured by drinking lukewarm water.

Drinking coconut water on an empty stomach is also a good practice since it is rich in minerals such as potassium and other nutrients.

In addition to drinking water, bathing is also a major part of water therapy. Steam bath is one of the best ways to open up the tiny pores of your body which allows you to have a thorough cleansing. This aides to over come problems like piles, sciatica, and even diabetes.
