The water intake for kids is nearly 6-8 glasses of water. Similarly, they should drink around

1.5- 2 liter water

on a daily basis. The water intake should be increased if the climate is hot. As children are active, generally, they should drink sufficient amount of water. If they don’t drink required amount of water, then they might complain about symptoms of dehydration like tiredness, headaches, etc.

Also, a few children might find it difficult to concentrate on their daily activities while some others may become lethargic or irritable. Hence, it becomes imperative for the parents to monitor the amount of water their children are drinking.

Overall Water Intake

To stay healthy and fit, there is a suitable recommendation for daily water intake, which depends on different aspects. This aspects include the area where you live (climatic conditions), daily physical activity and general health condition.

If you stay in a hotter climate, you tend to sweat more and you need to drink more amounts of water to compensate the loss of water. In the similar manner, you need to drink more amount of water if you do physical exercise which makes you sweat.

According to the Kidney Health Australia, it is not proven that drinking 8 glasses of water everyday is the recommended water intake. But to be on the safe side, it is best to consume 8 glasses of water.
